apg slotI started a thread about another odd type of motherboards, Socket 423 and 478 motherboards with the universal AGP slot which are not as common as their 1.5v keyed onlyAGP was desned specifically for graphics cards, and its desn was based on the PCI slot. AGP allows the graphics card to communicate directly to the CPU. It doesn’t share the bus of any PCI slot on the same motherboard.
